Roberto Cavalli opens the ‘Cavalli Restaurant & Lounge’ in Miami Beach

Anyone, who is a fan of Roberto Cavalli, knows that the designer never does anything halfway when it comes to his passion for design, luxury, and sensuality.  The case couldn’t be truer in his restaurants and lounges that have already begun cropping up around the globe in places like Dubai, Milan, and Saint Tropez.
Now, his ardent fans who visit Miami Beach’s famed Ocean Drive can also have the full Cavalli lifestyle experience.  The Cavalli Restaurant & Lounge, located in the SoBe area features all of Cavalli’s grandeur in lifestyle design full tilt.

The outside of the building is modest in its geometric angles and whitewashed exterior. Once inside, the nearly 6,000 square foot location, the senses are fully engaged at the first floor restaurant where guests can enjoy a blend of Italian and Tuscan style food, as well as Tenuta Degli Dei, the Cavalli family’s own red wine produced from their Tuscan winery.  The chairs are covered in leopard print and the tables feature energetic floral designs from the table cloths to the center pieces designed by Cavalli.  The pillows, wall coverings, and floor designs are all taken directly from the Cavalli home line.  Guests will even be able to enjoy an al fresco dining experience on South Beach’s largest terrace.
Mr. Cavalli, himself sets up his vision for his concept and what the next level of the building means to him, “ The pleasure of listening to enjoyable music, accompanied by great food and good company in an elegant and sophisticated setting … This is the philosophy of the Cavalli Restaurant & Lounge. I wanted to communicate all my passion for beauty and sensuality combining them in a hospitality project in Miami…” When one views the upper level of the building, they get the full sense of his statement in the opulent giraffe print multi colored ceiling and floor, the luxurious lounges, and the best music available for his guests.

The lounge ensures comfort with a luxurious experience of good music and Cavalli inspired cocktails, and is set up for exclusive parties and events.  The welcoming atmosphere and attention to detail designed by Cavalli in collaboration with architect Italo Rota, ensures that the entire Restaurant and Lounge will provide a special experience for the designer’s fans.  One cannot help but feel the presence of the designer and the comfort that he would extend to his friends and family in his own personal space.

NEW TROUBLE'S TRUST BAR

The New York Palace hotel has thrown open the doors of its newest bar, Trouble’s Trust, after undergoing a $140 million (103.588.600 Euro) renovation.

The new bar has been named after hotel heiress Leona Helmsley’s pet Trouble who inherited a $12 million dollar trust fund after her demise. This exclusive cocktail bar and lounge offers a diverse range of beers, wines and cocktails for a pre-theater drink, post-work happy hour, or night cap. Located under the hotel’s Lobby Grand Staircase, this drinking hole features a modern design by Champalimaud. The place is spruced up with red lacquer walls, embossed leather panels, curved leather banquettes along with leather lounge chairs. The 26-foot-long curve liquid metal bar dominates the area along with a floor-to-ceiling wine display that glows.

The cocktail menu also syncs with the dedication, printed with golden paws and listing exclusively concocted cocktails like The Pampered Pooch honoring Trouble and Queen of Mean named after the hotelier and heiress Leona Helmsley.

Moreno Restaurant at Baglioni, Kensington

 The posh restaurant is located in the Baglioni Hotel’s current Brunello restaurant.

Moreno Cedroni is a star in Italy, where his new-wave fish restaurants have excited critics. Now he’s in charge of the restaurant at the Baglioni, where we loved the pretty plates of swordfish carpaccio and veal shank decorated with edible flowers, as well as the sweet Apulian waiter who accompanied each dish with ‘Please, you try!’ However, portions were skimpy and the vast, open-plan room can feel a bit windswept

The service is slick and the attentive staff make the luxury London restaurant a great place to head for lunch or a quiet romantic dinner, the Baglioni Hotel is situated in the heart of London, opposite Hyde Park with charming views of Kensington Gardens and Palace.

Taverna 37 is located just above the Arion Resort & Spa Hotel’s beach, making it an ideal spot for lunch. With its relaxed dress code, most diners just go straight there after having a swim. Sit on

the wonderful balcony which offers views over the sea and enjoy Greek cuisine and the best view of the Saronic Gulf. The menu offers fresh salads, a wide range of mezes that you can wash down with ouzo Greek-style and classic barbequed dishes ranging from octopus and calamari squid to souvlakia and burgers. One of the top dishes is definitely the mini-burgers which are simply delicious, served in wonderful, freshly baked pita breads. Enjoy that with an ouzo or an ice-cold beer.
